Matt started building his first homebuilt "Baby Great Lakes" while in High School. He finished it, flew it for several years then sold it only to design and build his very own side by side biplane.

Matt brings over 30 years of rich and diverse experience to the industry.

Some projects that Matt has had the privilege of being involved in is building from drawings only the fuselage frame of a Boeing Model 40C, currently the only flyable one in the world. Another recent project was rebuilding the fuselage, landing gear and wing tank from drawings for a 1927 Stearman C3B, the oldest flying Stearman in the world.

Matt holds a Mechanic License for Airframe and Powerplant with Inspection Authorization, a Commercial Pilot License with Instrument and Multi-Engine Ratings as well as being a Designated Mechanic Examiner. Matt is also a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association, Antique Airplane Association and the Stearman Restorer's Association.
